Luria Academy of Brooklyn (www.luria-academy.org) serves 275 students in preschool through 8th grade. Luria offers a sophisticated education in a progressive environment. Key Responsibilities • Teach Grades 2 & 3 - may include reading, writing, math, social studies, science • Lead a team of 3 teachers, coordinate class schedules and classroom responsibilities • Differentiate instruction for a diverse group of learners in a progressive setting • Design and deliver curriculum using backward design • Assess student learning and create evidence-based goals based • Manage classroom routines and behaviors • Partner with families by providing regular communication
Qualifications • Master’s Degree • Training in Literacy and/or Special Education • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience • Strong pedagogical skills • Strong interpersonal skills • Innovative and dynamic educator
