Job Description Special Education Educational Supervisor
Private High School for Students with Special needs is seeking a NYS certified special educator to join a team of warm and caring professionals. This leadership position involves working with students, faculty and parents to individualize the educational experience to best meet each child’s needs. Must have superior time management skills, be highly organized, have excellent communication and creative problem solving skills. Must have a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience. Administrative experience a plus.
This supervisory position requires experience with and knowledge of:
NYS Core Curriculum
NYS Graduation/Regent exam requirements
IEPs and participation in CSE meetings
Parent engagement
Mentoring of teachers and support staff
Collaborative work with clinical team
Curriculum development and modification
Creating student academic programming/schedules
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $68,000.00 per year
