Marketing, Communications, and Administrative Coordinator Wanted The Coordinator plays a key role in Shaarei Tikvah’s staff and reports to the Director of Operations. They execute all external communications, facilitate effective internal communications, and help support the Clergy and Religious school Director and teachers.
This is a demanding, but rewarding, position. You will work on a small staff with a close- knit community of dedicated volunteers and lay leaders. Shaarei Tikvah (“ST”) is a progressive, engaged Conservative community in Scarsdale, NY. Our community of almost 200 members has grown 18% in the past two years.
Marketing/Communications Responsibilities:
Manage the messaging, copy, and content of synagogue website. Responsible for website management and maintenance, including program calendar, and creating event/registration pages. Work with Clergy, Staff, and Lay leaders to ensure content is fresh, engaging and reflective of our synagogue Brand and value proposition. Manage all social media communications considering messaging to existing members, prospective members, and the broader community Design and send weekly member emails (currently 2 blasts p/week) Oversee content and production of quarterly publication (The Gateway) in partnership with Clergy, Staff, and Lay leadership Designing and distributing flyers and other event marketing materials Provide guidance and ideas for a communications strategy and calendar Administrative Responsibilities:
Support Operations Director in executing all events, meetings (in person/zoom), fundraising events, and programs Help manage synagogue yearly calendar Support Lay leadership and synagogue member requests as needed Prepare Shabbat materials for Clergy and Lay leadership Track synagogue donations and send acknowledgements Support Religious school teachers and students, as needed, during School hours Assist with funeral arrangements for bereaved families (shiva minyans, meals, etc), send yartzheit reminders each month Support Clergy and Education Director with calendaring, communications, and other administrative activities Qualifications/Competencies:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 1-2 years marketing and communications experience a plus Ability to manage and prioritize multiple, ongoing projects effectively. Takes initiative and is self-motivated to find answers and solve challenges. Ability to take the lead, working independently or as part of a team. Excellent communications skills, grammar and punctuation expertise Strong computer literacy and ability to learn new software quickly: Word, Excel, GoogleDrive, CRM, ShulCloud, HebCal This is a full time position. Starting salary is $40,000 and depends on experience.

Monday - Thursday 9:00am - 5:00pm Friday 9:00am - 3:00pm Fall/Winter Hours
Monday and Wednesday 10:00am - 6:30pm Tuesday and Thursday 9:00am - 5:00pm Friday 9:00am - 2:00pm
