We are seeking a Jewish education professional, focused on experiential education, who will administer and cultivate welcoming and inclusive programs through our Jewish Renewal Religious School (pre-K through teen).
The Religious School Director will be responsible for the following: • Implementation of our innovative programs and existing (newly created) curriculum • Leading our dynamic Religious School staff as a partner and mentor • Administrative Oversight of our current Sunday and Tuesday afternoon programs • Developing holiday programs • Sharing the vision, rich history and creative spiritual offerings of Jewish Renewal • Focusing on experiential education, sharing space for all learners
Position: 25 hours per week average (mix of remote and onsite)
Qualifications:
BA or MA, Rabbi or Educator with Jewish liturgical and content knowledge At least 3 years experience in leading and growing a school Proven track record and understanding the need to foster welcoming and growth in a community Child-centered, compassionate, engaging, great listener, strong organizational and communication skills Leader and team-player, excited to be part of a community-oriented, collaborative culture Willing to learn about Nevei Kodesh and Jewish Renewal Drawn to progressive style of teaching, ritual and prayer
