Administrative Assistant The Ramaz Upper School seeks to hire an Administrative Assistant to support the school office and Dean of Faculty to begin September 2021/2022 school year.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Use computers for various applications, such as database and spreadsheet management or word processing Create, maintain, and enter information into databases, such as attendance records, room assignments, exam schedules, correspondence, or other material Maintain scheduling and event calendars Greet visitors or callers and handle their inquiries, provide information and direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs Attendance monitoring, reporting and follow-up with students and parents Insure all report cards are properly uploaded and ready for parent viewing Final exam preparation (formatting, photocopying, create room assignments, seating charts, assign faculty proctoring duties) Liaise between the school and the food service department with regard to food orders for special events Liaise with the bus companies regarding special school schedule changes/needs Scheduling of junior student electives Complete forms in accordance with company procedures Perform general office duties and other tasks as may be assigned from time to time according to the needs of the school
Job Specifications Work requires general knowledge of school policies, procedures, and operations as well as oral communication skills to perform administrative duties of moderate complexity Work requires ability to perform moderately complex administrative details, such as planning and scheduling, creation of spreadsheets and managing databases. Work requires a commitment to excellent customer service Work requires written communication skills to compose routine letters and to edit and proof correspondence and reports to administration, faculty, and parents Work requires ability to read and concentrate via computer data entry typing and proofreading for long periods of time
Success Factors/Job Competencies Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel Time management – the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Hebrew language skills a plus
