Temple Solel, a warm, inclusive and progressive Phoenix area Reform Congregation of approximately, 650 families, is proud to be growing again! Close to beautiful Camelback Mountain and deeply rooted in the community, our members are drawn to Solel for the incredible clergy, exquisite music and warm family atmosphere. In addition to a variety of Shabbat services, we pride ourselves in offering valuable programming, diverse social functions and volunteer opportunities for all ages.
To accommodate our continued growth and development, we are adding to our Temple Solel family, a Communication and Engagement Specialist. In this role, the right candidate will use their creative energy to coordinate programs and activities while connecting with our congregants, lay leaders, clergy, and temple administration to build community through engagement.

What you will do: • Develop and maintain programs around membership engagement • Assist in maintaining a culture of stewardship within the congregation • Plan, develop and manage temple-wide event programming, collaborating with Executive Director, President, Clergy, Senior Staff and other lay leaders to execute programs • Volunteer recruitment, including communication, coordination, and supervision • Coordinate and maintain calendar and communication for all programs • High Holiday programming and related activities • Assist in developing future lay leadership to join committees and assist with events • Collaborate with staff and lay leaders to develop engagement strategies • Using a combination of social media, print, website and direct verbal communication, keep the congregation and community apprised of both current and upcoming events
What else? Bachelor’s degree is preferred – Minimum of 3 years related experience – Strong Jewish knowledge base Evening and weekend availability Compensation commensurate with experience
