ABOUT THE SCHOOL Established in 1948 in Mamaroneck, NY, Westchester Day School, a Modern Orthodox, co-educational, dual curriculum Jewish elementary school (2-year-olds through 8th grade), prepares students to live as mensches and lifelong learners and inspires them to impact the world around them by cultivating a commitment to Torah, midot, community and academic rigor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES This is a broad position and requires someone who is process and operations-oriented, highly detailed, with strong multi-tasking ability, who can see small and large projects to conclusion. Candidates should have significant communication skills, experience with daily administrative tasks and be proficient in office technology and computer software. The successful candidate will be resourceful and demonstrate problem-solving abilities and follow-through. The ideal candidate will be an effective professional with strong interpersonal skills, who works well with others as part of a team in a multi-faceted organization. They will enjoy the intellectual challenge of working with the school's administration and faculty, while supporting various key professionals. The candidate should have a warm, pleasant personality, exhibit flexibility, and work calmly in a busy and demanding school environment. The candidate will be completely trustworthy and maintain confidentiality, will work independently, as well as take direction and make sound judgments about daily decisions and priorities.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE Generating multiple weekly communications such as calendar notifications, detailed grade level communications and messages from administrators Populating and maintaining digital platforms Managing administrators’ schedules and handling day to day administrative tasks such as mail, office supplies and other issues that may arise Welcoming parents and visitors to the school Advancing the school with basic marketing materials Planning the after-school program Organizing the 8th grade high school admissions documents and graduation Maintaining an organized office space

EXPERIENCE AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills High proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite Experience in graphic design Strong interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and prioritize work Attention to detail High energy level Flexibility Collaboration Knowledge of Hebrew preferred
