Bnai Keshet is a Reconstructing Judaism congregation of about 275 members in Montclair, NJ.
Duties and Responsibilities Serves as administrative support to both Rabbis including the management of their respective schedules Serves as administrative support to the supplementary school. Serves as administrative support to the main office. Performs a broad range of administrative functions including correspondence and a high level of proactive management and follow-up Provide administrative and logistical support for holidays and lifecycle events Ongoing direct contact with congregants to support a range of family needs Coordinate Bnai Mitzvah process from planning through the event, including scheduling, materials, catering coordination, and ordering gifts Oversee synagogue communications and master calendar Responding to questions or requests of callers
Qualifications A minimum of three to five years of related experience Familiarity with Jewish holidays, rituals, and customs is highly desirable Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Docs; working knowledge of ShulCloud a plus Excellent oral communications and rapport-building skills. Ability to collaborate regularly with congregants and clergy, often about sensitive or emotional situations. Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills with an ability to multitask, prioritize, take initiative, and follow-through Graphic design capability a plus
Desired Hours Monday 11:30am - 8:30pm Wednesday 9:30am - 6:30pm Thursday 9:00am - 5:00pm Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm Saturday 8:00am - 1:00pm Hours will shift to a summer schedule in June, July, August Monday - Thursday: 9:00am - 5:00pm Friday 9:00am - 4:00pm
