Job Description

The Levine Center to End Hate at the Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester seeks to fill a new position of Marketing & Communications Coordinator. The mission of the Levine Center to End Hate is to unite the greater Rochester community in overcoming hate through education, dialogue, and positive action. OVERALL PURPOSE: To increase the reach and impact of the Levine Center to End Hate’s profile and visibility through the delivery of high value and influential marketing and communications, thereby significantly contributing to the development of new programs, partnerships, and funding opportunities. To achieve this, you will be an integral part of our team (made up of the Levine Center Director, Community Engagement Coordinator, Youth Engagement Coordinator, and Program Assistant), helping to drive two-way communication that enables the Levine Center to be responsive to community needs, thereby increasing engagement in programming. You will also help motivate and support our steering committee to have an active role in raising the visibility of the Levine Center. OBJECTIVE: The Marketing & Communications Coordinator must be creative, motivated, and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail. Keys to success include the ability to effectively communicate and engage with diverse audiences; promote the Levine Center to End Hate in a positive, authentic, and compelling way; and create impactful content that resonates and ultimately leads to action. We are looking for a team player willing to roll up their sleeves, make recommendations for new approaches, and evolve with the growth of the Levine Center. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  Design and implement creative marketing and communications strategies, plans, and approaches to align with the Levine Center’s goals of engaging our community in education, dialogue, and positive action to address hate in all its forms  Plan and implement direct marketing approaches, including segmentation, personalization of messages, measurability, and data analysis  Design and develop creative communication and marketing products, including email campaigns, presentations, social media posts, etc. that will maximize the Levine Center’s messaging and outreach  Manage the Levine Center’s website, regularly updating it in consultation with the Director and other members of the team  Grow the Levine Center’s social following through creative engagement and content for various social media platforms (FB, IG, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.); drive traffic to the Levine Center website  Respond appropriately to questions and comments across all social media channels  Attend and document Levine Center programs and events; use post-event summaries and testimonials by attendees to further our messaging  Stay up-to-date on trends in marketing and social media  Analyze tactics and translate qualitative data into recommendations for revising social media, content marketing, SEO and social advertising campaigns  Collaborate with the Jewish Federation’s marketing team to ensure consistency with the organization’s overall branding and marketing strategy QUALIFICATIONS  Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field  3+ years of experience in marketing and communications, including brand strategy, campaign and content development, and social media  Exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills, both written and oral  Knowledge and understanding of the various social media platforms (FB, IG, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) functionality, metrics, Google analytics, and strategy  Experience executing social media strategies  Ability to measure the success of campaigns  Passion for the mission of the Levine Center to End Hate  Availability to occasionally work evenings and weekends, as needed
