We are a warm and friendly Reform synagogue in the Syosset/Oyster Bay area, seeking friendly, energetic teachers for engaging Hebrew/Judaic studies. Classes meet on-site with social distancing in place, along with health and safety protocols. Should the need arise, classes will move to remote learning.
An ideal candidate: • Has experience as a secular and/or religious school teacher • Demonstrates enthusiasm and passion about teaching Jewish education • Understands the importance of reaching different learning styles and being flexible • Possesses excellent interpersonal skills • Recognizes the importance of utilizing hands-on Hebrew and Judaic lessons • Is knowledgeable about teaching and chanting prayers • Experience using Zoom (or willing to learn) and knows how to provide innovative experiences for students through remote learning

5th grade meeting on Thursdays 4-6 and/or 6th grade meeting on Mondays 6:15-8:15pm
