PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Ability to develop and implement an ongoing program of activities promoting the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child enrolled in a group
by creating and maintaining a safe and stimulating environment for young children (ages 0-5) by teaching early childhood education classes that are age appropriate by providing information to parents regarding child development and by engaging parents in child’s education process by modelling support and respect for All My Children DayCare and Nursery School efforts Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
having 3 -5 years experience working in an Early Childhood setting being warm and loving with a positive attitude and appreciation of children having strong communication and interpersonal skills being flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of all children and program requirements being respectful to all people from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds having an ability to organize and reflect teaching goals and progress in documentation: lesson plans, assessments and evaluations having an ability to engage children in developmentally appropriate ways (including addressing children at eye level, sitting with children on the floor, engaging children in play and conversation having an ability to attend to daily tasks as an educator DOI and DOE
Qualifications: Masters in Early Childhood Education (Birth-2) Bachelor’s Degree and study plan
