The Nurtury, a Jewish Reggio-inspired preschool, and kindergarten is seeking an experienced a PRE-K teacher and a KINDERGARTEN teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. We are seeking an individual who will foster and facilitate the intellectual and social development of the children. Teaching pre-K (4-5-year-olds) and kindergarten (5–6-year-old) includes planning, implementing thoughtful lesson plans, and assessing students’ progress throughout the year. You will teach children with patience, love, and hands-on creativity. Duties include designing a teaching plan and using Reggio-inspired activities and instructional methods to motivate and inspire the children.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum planning and implementation for both Judaic and secular studies for the Pre-K class and the kindergarten class. Assessment of children’s developmental needs and goal setting Ongoing collaboration with teaching teams, administration, and families Manage classroom routines and behaviors Communicate effectively with families
Qualifications
45-hour early childhood certification. 3+ years of experience as a Lead Teacher in the preschool/kindergarten setting Innovative and creative educator Strong knowledge of Jewish holidays, customs and Hebrew language
