Job Description

Congregation Anshai Torah is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as the Early Childhood Director within our growing synagogue. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in shaping the educational experiences of our youngest community members, fostering a positive and nurturing environment that incorporates our values to grow our next generation.

Responsibilities: Educational Leadership: Provide visionary leadership for the early childhood program while ensuring the implementation of developmentally appropriate practices that promote the cognitive, social, and emotional growth of each child. Administrative Oversight: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the early childhood program, including staff management, curriculum development, and program evaluation. Maintain compliance with state licensing regulations and adhere to high quality standards. Cultural Integration: Incorporate knowledge of Jewish culture, language, and practices into the curriculum to create an inclusive and culturally enriching environment for children. Staff Development: Foster a collaborative and supportive working environment for staff. Provide guidance and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and ensure a cohesive educational approach. Community Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, caregivers, and the synagogue community. Communicate effectively to keep families informed and engaged in their children's educational journey.

Candidate Requirements: Education: Master’s degree in early childhood education or a related field. Licensing: Texas Childcare Director's License is required. Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of experience at the director or assistant director level, combined with at least three (3) years of classroom experience. Cultural Competency: Preferred knowledge of Jewish culture, language, and practices. Leadership Skills: Demonstrates strong leadership and administrative skills, with the ability to guide and inspire a team. Legal Requirements: Must have a clean criminal record with no child-related offenses.
