Congregation B'nai Sholom/Fair Lawn Jewish Center, an Egalitarian Conservative synagogue that also hosts an alternate traditional minyan where only men are called to an aliyah, seeks a Torah and Haftorah Reader for Shabbat mornings and holidays for the alternate minyan. Torah reading requires the full weekly parshat be read along with the Haftorah.
Skills required: The Ba’alKkoreh should read clearly, with the proper accentuation (mileil and milra), vocalization (nikud) and cantillation (trop).
This position reports to the Rabbi and will also work with our primary Cantor.
