Job Opportunity:
Part-Time Teen Center Director
Are you enthusiastic about working with Jewish teens and passionate about creating meaningful, Jewish values-based programming? Join our team as our Teen Director and help inspire the next generation through engaging activities and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage Teens (8th-12th Grade):
Plan and lead youth group activities rooted in Jewish values, primarily conducted off-campus in the surrounding area, mainly on Monday evenings.
Develop impactful lessons using an existing curriculum with guidance from the Education Director.
Communication & Events Coordination:
Communicate upcoming events to families effectively.
Create and maintain a detailed calendar of teen events.
Form and maintain strong, positive relationships with participating teens.
Supervise Madrichim Program (Teen Assistant Teachers):
Manage and mentor teen assistants in the Religious School.
Pair teen assistants with classroom teachers to ensure effective collaboration and support.
Host monthly Madrichim meetings either in person or on zoom for professional development
Oversee Chaverim Program:
Facilitate a "big brother/big sister" buddy system between teens and students from 4th to 6th grade.
Responsibilities may be revised or added as deemed necessary by the Religious School Director
Qualifications:
Passionate about working with teens and shaping meaningful youth experiences.
Strong organizational skills for planning and executing events.
Excellent communication skills to connect with teens, families, and staff.
Experience working with youth or in supervision/mentorship roles is a plus.
Knowledge of Jewish values and teachings (or willingness to learn).

Salary: $30,000 - $33,000 per year
Hours: 20 hours per week. Hours are flexible, except for Monday nights and event days (which you will plan).
