Early Childhood Lead Teacher

We are seeking a creative and passionate lead teacher for our Early Childhood program.
The candidate should have the following attributes:
Have enthusiasm to teacher young children
A desire to learn

Ability and desire to create a loving, nuturing and warm learning environment
A desire to work alongside a great team
Familiarity with planning lessons with support provided
Understanding the basics of motor child development
Ability to develop a child centered classroom where children learn through play and exploration
Responsible for child and classroom assessment activities including record keeping, child observations with support from the director
Ability to communicate with parents, work collaboratively with colleagues and possess good interpersonal skills

Qualifications:
Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education and in the process of obtaining a Master's Degree
Experience working with children under the age of six in an Early Childhood setting
Posses or be on track to obtain one of the following New York State teaching certification:
Early Childhood ( Birth - Gr. 2)
Common Branch ( N-6)
Students with Disabilities ( Birth - Gr. 2)

This is a school year school day position
The school day starts at 8 AM and finishes at 3:50 PM with early dismissal on Fridays.
