About the Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Hebrew Language Teacher for the HaLev Early Childhood at the J program at the Minnesota JCC’s Sabes Center in St. Louis Park. This is a unique opportunity to take the lead in shaping a new, innovative program that provides young learners with an engaging, immersive Hebrew language experience in a warm and supportive classroom environment.
As the classroom teacher, you will guide 3- to 5-year-olds in developing Hebrew language skills through an immersive, play-based approach that integrates Jewish traditions, Israeli culture, and a love of learning. The intention is that this is a Hebrew immersion classroom, where children engage with the Hebrew language naturally throughout the day.
This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about early childhood learning and eager to shape a new Hebrew language program through an engaging, immersive teaching approach.

Serve as the classroom teacher for the Hebrew Language Program, leading a Hebrew-rich curriculum that fosters language acquisition through play, song, storytelling, and daily routines
Teach Hebrew language, Jewish holidays and traditions, and Israeli culture in an engaging way
Create and actively promote a comfortable and welcoming environment where parents, families, staff, and visitors are treated with dignity and respect in a friendly, personalized manner
Assess student progress, complete evaluations, and lead parent-teacher conferences
Build strong relationships with families through daily communication and collaboration
Provide high-quality care that reflects the mission and values of our organization
Inspire children to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally

Minimum Qualifications
College degree or minimum number of credits in Early Childhood Education or an ECE related field, or a CDA, in addition to 2 years of experience working with young children in a supervised setting
Knowledge of Jewish culture and traditions, or willingness to learn
Commitment to equity, diversity, environmental stewardship, and social justice
Native-level Hebrew proficiency
Intermediate or higher English proficiency
