Westchester Day School, a Modern Orthodox day school in Westchester, NY is seeking a Middle School Limudei Kodesh educator for the 2026 - 2027 school year. The individual who takes this position would teach various Judaic content such as Chumash, Navi, Mishnah, and Gemara.

The successful candidate will have a passion for Jewish Education, strong curricular and pedagogical knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and a collaborative spirit.

Responsibilities include:

Plan and implement lessons and activities that are developmentally and grade appropriate, and follow the set curricular goals
Follow the curricular materials and goals laid out by the school
Establish and maintain a high standard for classroom management and student engagement
Promote active participation of all students to ensure a positive and rewarding experience in the classroom
Collaborate with colleagues and administration regarding the social, emotional, and academic development of students
Maintain close partnerships with families, including phone calls, conferences, and written communications as needed
Use a wide variety of teaching strategies to differentiate instruction to support a range of learners
Remain open to learning and growing personally and professionally

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or in the content area of instruction. Master’s (or Semicha (Rabbinic Ordination) preferred.
Three or more years of teaching experience is strongly preferred.
Possess a deep understanding of Jewish texts, holidays, Tefillah, and Judaic content
Mastery over lesson planning and the ability to plan and teach towards clear curricular goals set by the school.
Strong character and professional references.
Effective communication skills and a positive, collaborative growth mindset.
Salary range for this role is $60,000-$80,000, depending upon education and experience.
