Essential Responsibilities
- Volunteer Pipeline – Recruit, onboard, train, and steward ~120 active individual volunteers annually; keep accurate records in CRM
- Onboarding, Training, and Communication – Deliver orientation, role specific training, and ongoing appreciation touchpoints. Maintain necessary documents for volunteers
- Jewish Volunteer Opportunity Growth – work with Director of Advancement and Chief Executive Officer to strategically establish volunteer opportunities that reflect the Louisville Jewish Community and recruit volunteers for these opportunities
- Community Outreach – grow JFCS’ presence in the community through attendance of community events, both in the broader Louisville Community and the Jewish Louisville Community. Facilitate connecting members of the community in need to specific programs within JFCS.
- Grow existing volunteer opportunities within JFCS programs – work with program staff in our five pillars of service to establish meaningful volunteer opportunities that fill gaps and meet community needs
- Donor Conversion – Invite engaged volunteers to fundraising opportunities and work with Director of Advancement and Marketing and Events Manager to create a meaningful solicitation letter
- Corporate Volunteer Opportunities – work with Marketing and Events Manager to execute one corporate volunteer opportunity per month based on area of interest for corporate partner
- Metrics & Story Capture – Track KPIs and supply volunteer impact stories to Marketing and collaborate for volunteer pipeline
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Required Skills & Experience • 2 years managing volunteers or community programs • Ability to quickly learn new programs including CRMs like Donor Perfect, Constant Contact, etc. • Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced environment working both collaboratively and autonomously when required • An enthusiasm to connect volunteers to their passions by listening, understanding and responding with timeliness and accuracy • Ability to develop constructive, cooperative, and respectful relationships with others and maintain those relationships over time • Thrives on creating volunteer and event experiences that are organized, meaningful, collaborative, and fun • The ability to make difficult, but diplomatic decisions • Adhere to strict confidentiality of prospect and donor information • Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit • A basic knowledge and the eagerness to learn principles and best practices in the areas of customer service, fundraising and relationship building
