Position Shalom Hartman Institute of North America (SHI NA) has an exciting opportunity for a motivated, organized, thoughtful, and detail-oriented individual to join our regional, and the Hartman Teen Fellowship teams in supporting programmatic excellence. Based in New York, this role is ideal for someone who is proactive, highly organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to SHI’s mission, possess excellent communication and customer-service skills, and feel confident using and learning a variety of digital tools and platforms. This individual will be responsible for logistics and program delivery, supporting educational initiatives, and building strong relationships with participants and partners.

This role is structured as a 50/50 split, supporting both SHI’s Regional programming across the East Coast and the Teen Fellowship program, reporting to Director of Teen and Educational Initiatives.

Program Overview SHI’s Regional programs engage adult learners, rabbis, and community leaders across the East Coast through ongoing learning cohorts, educational series, and immersive retreats. These programs are designed to deepen engagement with Jewish ideas, strengthen leadership, and build meaningful connections between participants, their communities, and SHI faculty. This role will support program logistics, participant communication, and coordination with partner organizations, including periodic travel to East Coast program locations.

Hartman Teen Fellowship cultivate the next generation of Jewish leaders by engaging high school students in thoughtful, values-driven conversations about Jewish identity, pluralism, and contemporary challenges. Through seminars, retreats, and immersive learning experiences, Hartman Teen Fellowship empowers teens to think critically, engage deeply, and lead with purpose. This role will support both in-person and virtual teen programming, ensuring a thoughtful, organized, and impactful participant experience.

Responsibilities and Duties -Collaborate in managing logistics for in-person conferences, retreats, and events, including participant communications, travel coordination, materials preparation, vendor coordination, and on-site support. -Support program evaluation and post-event follow-up. -Coordinate logistics for Regional (East Coast) programs, including cohorts, learning series, and retreats. -Serve as a primary point of contact for participants, alumni, and partner organizations, supporting a high-quality participant experience. -Travel periodically to support in-person programs. -Support planning and execution of Wellspring teen programs, including seminars, retreats, and ongoing programming. -Manage participant communications, materials, and logistics for both in-person and virtual teen offerings, fostering an engaging and well-organized experience. -Manage virtual and distance learning logistics, including Zoom production, attendance tracking, resource organization, and content archiving. -Assist in the creation and formatting of educational and curricular materials. -Support program communications, including emails, newsletters, and occasional social media content. -Assist with budget tracking, expense processing, and basic financial administration -Maintain accurate program and participant records, including CRM/data entry, and help manage program calendars. -Respond to incoming communications in a professional and timely manner; collaborate across teams and provide general administrative support as needed.

Qualifications -2+ years of professional or administrative experience -Passion for SHI NA’s mission -Excellent written and oral communication skills -Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple complex tasks -Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-energy environment and under tight deadlines -Basic proficiency with Hebrew and Jewish texts -Experience with CRM or data management software. -Excellent interpersonal skills including a professional, customer-service oriented demeanor -Track record of demonstrating sound judgment by making appropriate decisions and knowing when to take initiative in identifying problems and devising solutions -Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel -Good sense of humor -Ability to be adaptable, resourceful, and proactive -BA / BS or equivalent -Ability to travel regularly to East Coast program sites -Travel to Israel at least once annually -Participation in up to three domestic retreats per year -Availability for occasional evening and weekend programs

Salary and Benefits: $66,300 commensurate with experience. Competitive benefits package.
