The Jews of Color Initiative (JoCI) is the central organization supporting the U.S. multiracial Jewish community. JoCI seeks a highly organized, detail-oriented Communications Associate to support day-to-day communications under the Director of Communications, focusing on content production, digital communications, social media, website updates, and project coordination.
Responsibilities:
• Draft, schedule, and manage social media content and engagement; support website updates and email campaigns in Mailchimp
• Provide copyediting, proofreading, writing, and graphic design support (Canva); assist with the annual impact report
• Maintain communication workflows and systems (Salesforce, Mailchimp, event registration)
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 2–4 years in communications, digital media, or marketing
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading; experience with Canva; familiarity with Salesforce/WordPress a plus
• Comfort working in virtual environments across multiple U.S. time zones
Compensation:
Approximately 10–15 hours/week at $30/hour. First review of applications August 7, 2026.
