The Hebrew Educational Society (H.E.S.) is a thriving multi-service community center in southeast Brooklyn serving people of all ages and ability levels. The Social Services Facilitator plans and conducts OASAS evidence-based prevention groups, provides counseling and behavioral management to children and families, and supports H.E.S. programs across the agency.
Responsibilities:
• Organize and run evidence-based discussion groups aimed at preventing at-risk behaviors; provide counseling and behavioral-management training to children, parents, families, and staff
• Observe classrooms, aid in crisis management, make referrals, and meet with families as needed
• Support the internship program and pantry staff; maintain accurate documentation and data for annual reporting
Qualifications:
• MSW required; 3–5 years' experience with children or social work
• Experience facilitating structured groups with children in school, treatment, or private settings; strong time-management and record-keeping skills
Salary & Benefits:
