University of Chicago Hillel is the center of Jewish life on one of the world's most intellectually rigorous campuses. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager of Development and Communications manages and executes Hillel's fundraising operations while shaping the narrative of Jewish campus life through a comprehensive communications strategy.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the annual campaign and donor communications calendar; cultivate and steward donors, alumni, and parents; administer the development database and gift processing
• Manage operating-support grants, reporting, and new grant applications
• Craft social media, email marketing, newsletters, and print/digital assets (Canva, Adobe); maintain the Hillel website and monitor digital metrics
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree; 2–5 years of development/fundraising and 2–5 years of communications/marketing/social media experience
• Superior writing and organizational skills; CRM experience (Little Green Light a plus) and email marketing platforms preferred
Salary & Benefits:
$60,000–$70,000. Up to 22 PTO days, 8 federal and up to 13 Jewish holidays, 6 weeks paid parental leave, medical/dental/vision, 401(k)/403(b). Applications are collected through the Hillel International website.
