American Jewish University (AJU) is focused on the future of Jewish life in North America — training the next generation of rabbis, educators, professionals, and lay leaders. AJU seeks a highly organized, donor-centric Director of Advancement Events & Foundation Relations to ensure successful execution of fundraising and engagement events and to manage foundation grant writing, proposals, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
• Manage event execution from planning through post-event stewardship — logistics, venue coordination, registration, timelines, budgets, and vendor management
• Write and submit grant proposals and reports to foundations; maintain reporting calendars and ensure timely compliance
• Serve as liaison with foundation representatives; research new grant opportunities
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 5–7 years of progressive nonprofit fundraising experience
• Expertise coordinating fundraising and donor events; strong project management, writing, and CRM skills; knowledge of the Jewish nonprofit/philanthropic landscape strongly preferred
Salary & Details:
$110,000–$120,000/year, full-time exempt (35 hours). Four days in person (Sherman Oaks) with remote Fridays. Comprehensive benefits package.
