The Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Specialist provides homework help to youth in reading, writing, spoken English, and basic math, along with social and emotional skill building using the Second Step Curriculum and mindfulness-based programming, at Robinson Elementary in Plant City.
Responsibilities: • Assist with homework in a small group format, occasionally one-on-one • Manage small groups, conduct lessons, and make weekly observations on pro-social behavior outcomes and motivation to learn • Prepare and deliver class materials in concurrence with the Second Step Curriculum
Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred • Experience in education, teaching, or tutoring with youth preferred
Compensation: $15.97 per hour, 29 hours per week for the 37-week school calendar.
