American Jewish Committee (AJC), the global advocacy organization for the Jewish people, seeks a Director of Development to plan, oversee, and develop fundraising strategy — typically within an assigned Region.
Responsibilities: • Lead the region's development strategy, goals, and action plans • Develop and facilitate fundraising campaigns, programs, events, and initiatives • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward existing donors and new prospects • Manage boards, committees, and a small team (1–3); oversee budgets, reporting, and marketing resources
Requirements: Bachelor's (master's preferred); minimum 10 years of related experience; fundraising experience; excellent communication and project-management skills; willing to work occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends; MS Office, Google Suite, and Zoom proficiency.
Salary: $155,000–$180,000 depending on experience and location, plus medical/vision/dental, generous PTO, paid holidays, hybrid schedule, 403(b), and paid parental leave.
