J Street — the political home for pro-Israel, pro-peace Americans — seeks a Government Affairs Intern to support its legislative advocacy on Capitol Hill (Washington, DC, in-person preferred).
Responsibilities: • Monitor congressional hearings, briefings, and events • Support data management and legislative tracking; analyze legislation and draft advocacy materials • Compile congressional education materials and news roundups; conduct research on Congress, U.S. policy, and the Middle East
Desired: excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills; attention to detail; interest in Congress; familiarity with U.S. foreign policy, the U.S.–Israel relationship, and American Jewish communal affairs.
Duration: ~2–3 months (Labor Day to Thanksgiving), part-time 15 hrs/week. Compensation: $19/hour. Apply with resume, cover letter, a short essay, and references.
