Temple Shalom of Newton is looking to add to our Learning and Engagement team for School Year 2026-2027 (September-May). Temple Shalom is the largest reform synagogue in Newton. The synagogue serves 600+ families primarily from the Newton, Watertown and Waltham communities. We are committed to making each person and family feel welcome. We prioritize getting to know each member, one at a time, and in doing so help everyone find a place in Temple Shalom’s dynamic and supportive Jewish community. We have positions available in all of our Jewish Learning Programs from toddler through high school. Part-time jobs available in our K-7 program. Full-time and benefits or Part-Time teachers and assistant teachers needed for nursery school- School year and Summer opportunities available.
Our K-7 program includes lessons plans and teacher mentoring in an interactive, hands-on approach to learning. Learn more at We have openings in our Sunday and Wednesday programs and are looking for both Hebrew and Jewish Learning Teachers.
Our Nursery School is a nature-based and student-centered program. Support and mentoring is also available. TSNS meets Monday-Friday.
