The Youth Director plans and leads engaging, educational, and safe programming for children, teens, and families while overseeing the staff, volunteers, and operations required to deliver exceptional Shabbat, holiday, and special-event experiences. This role is responsible for maintaining high-quality Shabbat and Yom Tov youth groups that thoughtfully integrate tefillah, Judaic learning, and age-appropriate recreation. The Youth Director develops and executes a year-round calendar of programs and events, including the Purim Carnival, Chanukah Dinner programming, and hands-on mitzvah workshops. Responsibilities also include coordinating with synagogue staff on marketing, registration, calendars, event logistics, payroll, weekly Echod newsletter submissions, and parent communications, as well as managing vendors, volunteers, fundraising, and all operational aspects of the annual Purim Carnival fundraiser.
