Temple Israel in New Rochelle is hiring part-time religious school teachers for Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. We are a dynamic program that looks to engage children through interactive programming. Offering positions starting at $4, 800 (1 day) and up. We are looking for patient people who love children and feel a deep connection to Judaism. We have teaching opportunities for Tuesday from 3:30-6:00pm (K, 1st and 5th grade) and/or Thursday from 3:30-6:00pm (3rd-6th grade). Basic Hebrew reading skills are needed for 1st-6th grade. Temple Israel’s programming year runs September 3rd through May 11th. Our curriculum is values based. Teaching staff will be able to develop their skills as an educator through regular professional development opportunities throughout the year. Lesson plans are created for the teaching staff, and staff are expected to review in advance and communicate requested edits as needed.
