Job Description

BBYO is the leading pluralistic Jewish teen movement, delivering leadership and identity-building experiences through AZA and BBG for more than 100 years. The Chapter Development Specialist supports teens in smaller Jewish communities across BBYO's Evergreen Region (Oregon, Washington, and Idaho), partnering with teens and chapter advisors to elevate programming, strengthen engagement, and create year-round impact.

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with teens in grades 8-12 to create impactful, fun, and dynamic programming

• Coach teens on recruitment and retention strategies to grow their chapters

• Support teens in building and executing chapter calendars

• Attend chapter events and meetings, providing guidance, supervision, and mentorship as the adult in the room

• Ensure chapter participation in region-wide and organization-wide initiatives

• Track and analyze chapter data on attendance, engagement, and membership trends

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 3 years removed from high school

• Must live in or near Ashland, Bend, Boise, Corvallis, Eugene, Olympia, Spokane, Sun Valley, or Tacoma, and be able to support the other communities virtually

• Ability to transport self to and from chapter or regional events

• A creative, responsible self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills

• BBYO or similar youth/Jewish organization background preferred but not required

• Availability for required regional dates including fall and spring board trainings, kickoffs, and conventions

Pay: $18 per hour. 10-15 hours per week; some nights and weekends required. Begins as soon as possible with a 10-month contract.
