BBYO is looking for a passionate Chapter Specialist to work closely with chapters in Charlotte, North Carolina to enhance their programming, engagement, and overall impact for Jewish teens.
Responsibilities:
• Work directly with teens in grades 8-12 to create impactful, fun, and dynamic programming
• Coach teens on recruitment and retention strategies that grow their chapters
• Support teens in building and executing chapter calendars
• Attend chapter events and meetings, providing guidance, supervision, and mentorship as the adult in the room
• Ensure chapter participation in region-wide and organization-wide initiatives, including BBYO Summer Programs and International Convention
• Track and analyze chapter data on attendance, engagement, and membership trends
Qualifications:
• Must be at least 3 years removed from high school
• Must live within or close to Charlotte; chapters program on average 2-4 times a month
• Ability to transport self to and from chapter or regional events
• A creative, responsible self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• BBYO or similar youth/Jewish organization background preferred but not required
• Must be available for fall and spring conventions
Pay: $18 per hour. 5-10 hours per week, some nights and weekends required. September through end of May.
